Module Feature

BWC2-H is Honeywell BW Clip series single gas detector dedicated to hydrogen sulfide (H2S) detection.

After activation, it runs continuously for 2 years without charging, battery replacement or sensor replacement. Default alarm thresholds: low alarm 10 ppm, high alarm 15 ppm, measuring range 0~100 ppm. It supports automatic self-check of sensor, battery and circuit, automatically stores up to 35 latest gas alarm and bump test records. Equipped with triple alarm: audible 95dB buzzer, wide-angle flash light and vibration reminder. It can match MicroDock II / IntelliDoX test docking station and Fleet Manager II management software, supports hibernation mode with special storage case to extend service time. Compact clip design, easy to wear on work clothes, suitable for hazardous working environment of oil field, sewer and chemical plant.

Working principle

Built-in electrochemical H2S sensor reacts with hydrogen sulfide in ambient air.

The sensor converts gas concentration signal into electrical signal, the internal circuit calculates and displays the real-time ppm value on LCD screen. When gas concentration exceeds preset alarm threshold, the detector triggers sound, light and vibration triple alarm to remind on-site personnel to evacuate. Historical alarm data can be uploaded to the management platform through the docking station for safety compliance record.

Onboard components

Electrochemical H2S sensor, LCD display panel, lithium integrated battery, MCU main control circuit, buzzer, flash LED, vibration motor, single operation button, plastic clip housing.

LED indicators

Front LEDs indicate normal operation, low alarm, high alarm, self-fault and calibration status.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Built-in automatic self-test for sensor failure, battery exhaustion and internal circuit anomaly. Fault information and event logs can be read through docking station software.

Programming software

Fleet Manager II / IntelliDoX software, used for alarm point modification, bump test, data download and instrument management.

Installation

No field wiring required, activate before use and clip on work clothes.
