Module Feature

TVMI-60-00-E00-E00-F00-0U000S-00 belongs to Honeywell TVMI inline thermal mass flow meter series. It adopts thermal dispersion principle to directly measure gas mass flow without pressure and temperature compensation. This unit is suitable for clean, dry gas media including compressed air, nitrogen, natural gas and biogas. It supports local LCD display, configurable 4-20mA analog output and digital communication. Built-in flow totalizer, low flow cutoff and self-cleaning diagnostic functions. Compact inline pipeline installation structure, no moving parts, low pressure loss. Widely used in compressed air energy management, gas distribution and industrial process gas consumption metering.

Working principle

Two platinum RTD sensors are exposed to gas flow stream. One sensor is heated, the other measures gas temperature. Gas flow carries heat away from the heated sensor. The temperature difference between the two sensors changes with gas mass velocity. Onboard electronics convert temperature difference signal into mass flow rate and cumulative flow value. Flow data and alarm status are transmitted to DCS or SCADA system through analog or digital interface.

Installation

Shut down gas pipeline and release pressure before operation. Install Honeywell TVMI flow meter on straight pipe section with sufficient upstream and downstream straight run. Wire 24VDC power and signal cables. Select matching gas type, set flow range and verify flow reading under operating condition.

Interface

Gas inlet and outlet process ports, 1/2"NPT electrical entry, analog output terminals, pulse / communication terminals.

Diagnostic

Fault alarm active: sensor probe damaged or coated with dust/oil. Zero drift: probe fouling or improper zero calibration. No flow reading: gas flow below low flow cutoff threshold.
