Module Feature

TVMI-80-80-M00-E00-F10-0U0000-00 is part of Honeywell TVMI inline thermal mass flow meter family. It applies thermal dispersion principle and measures gas mass flow directly, no extra pressure and temperature compensation required. Suitable for clean dry gas such as compressed air, nitrogen, natural gas and argon. It integrates local LCD display, totalizer function, low flow cut-off setting and sensor contamination warning. Pulse output is available for flow totalization. No internal moving parts, low pressure drop, stable long-term performance. Widely used for compressed air energy monitoring, industrial gas consumption metering and gas pipeline balance measurement.

Working principle

Two platinum RTD probes are inserted into the gas flow path. One probe is actively heated, the other measures the gas ambient temperature. The flowing gas takes heat away from the heated probe, and the temperature difference between the two probes varies with gas mass velocity. The electronic circuit converts the temperature difference signal into mass flow rate and cumulative flow value. Flow data and fault status can be transmitted to host system via pulse signal.

Installation

Isolate and depressurize gas pipeline before installation. Install Honeywell TVMI meter on straight pipe section with required upstream and downstream straight pipe runs. Wire 24VDC power and pulse signal cables. Configure gas type and flow range, perform zero calibration and on-site flow verification.

Interface

Flange process inlet/outlet, 1/2"NPT electrical gland, pulse signal terminals, power terminals.

Diagnostic

Fault alarm on: sensor probe damage or surface contamination. Zero point drift: dust or oil coating on sensing probes. No pulse output: wiring break or output channel parameter misconfiguration.
