Module Feature

TVMP-C0-84-AM0-ABP-F10-0U0000-00 belongs to Honeywell TVMP insertion thermal mass flow meter series. It adopts thermal dispersion technology to directly measure gas mass flow, no pressure and temperature compensation required. The insertion probe design is suitable for large diameter pipelines, duct and stack gas measurement. Supports pulse output for totalizer counting, local display, low flow cutoff and sensor fouling alert. No moving parts, low pressure loss, convenient for installation and maintenance without full pipeline shutdown with hot tap option. Widely applied for compressed air, nitrogen, flue gas, natural gas and biogas flow monitoring in industrial plant.

Working principle

Two platinum RTD sensors are integrated on the insertion probe. One sensor is heated constantly, the other measures gas ambient temperature. Gas flow carries heat away, the temperature difference between two sensors changes along with gas mass velocity. Internal circuit converts temperature difference signal into mass flow rate and cumulative flow value. Flow and fault information can be uploaded through pulse signal to host system.

Onboard components

Platinum RTD probe assembly, heating control circuit, signal processing PCB, LCD display, membrane keypad, pulse isolation output circuit, power regulation module, insertion probe and mounting fitting.

LED indicators

Power LED, Fault LED, pulse output indicator LED.

Hardware self-diagnosis

Sensor open/short circuit detection, probe contamination warning, over-temperature protection, power supply abnormal monitoring, pulse channel fault diagnosis.

Programming software

Honeywell flow meter configuration tool, used for gas type selection, range setting, totalizer reset and parameter backup.

Installation

Isolate pipeline safely before operation. Install Honeywell TVMP probe on straight pipe section, ensure proper insertion depth and upstream & downstream straight run. Wire 24VDC power and pulse signal cables. Configure gas parameter, flow range and perform zero calibration before commissioning.

Interface

Probe insertion port, 1/2"NPT electrical entry, power terminals, pulse signal terminals.

Diagnostic

Fault light alarm: probe sensor broken or surface coated with dust or oil. Reading drift: probe fouling or incorrect zero calibration. No pulse signal output: wiring open or output parameter misconfigured.
