T8311 belongs to ICS TRIPLEX Trusted SIS safety instrumented system,mounted inside T8300 expansion rack. It works with T8310 expander processor to realize high-speed data transmission between expander CPU and T84xx I/O modules. It limits fault spread on the I/O bus and protects main safety controller. Widely applied in oil & gas,petrochemical and chemical industries for ESD emergency shutdown and fire & gas safety protection.

Function

T8311 is the dedicated expander bus gateway unit of Trusted TMR SIS. It performs bidirectional safety data transmission between expander processor and field I/O modules. Continuous self-diagnosis monitors bus communication,channel health and onboard hardware. It isolates bus faults so that local I/O failures will not affect the core safety logic of main controller. Single slice fault will not stop system operation.

Installation

Vertically insert T8311 into dedicated interface slot of T8300 expander rack. Complete expander bus wiring and backplane connection. Check communication status and fault details through Trusted Workbench.
