T8461 belongs to ICS TRIPLEX Trusted SIS safety instrumented system and installs inside T8300 or T8314 expander rack. It receives triplicated safety trip commands from expander processor and outputs 24/48VDC discrete signals to drive field safety relays,solenoid valves and shutdown actuators. Widely deployed in oil & gas,petrochemical and chemical plants for ESD emergency shutdown and fire & gas safety protection.

Function

T8461 serves as high integrity 40-channel 24/48V digital output unit of Trusted TMR SIS. It executes TMR 2oo3 hardware voting logic to output safety trip signals for final safety elements. It supports 0.5ms fast response and 1ms SOE timestamp recording for safety event analysis. Each channel continuously monitors open circuit,short circuit and overload faults. It supports hot swap replacement without shutting down the safety expansion rack.

Installation

Insert T8461 vertically into dedicated I/O slot of T8300/T8314 expander chassis. Connect field solenoid and relay wiring to terminal assembly. Verify output status and fault alarms via Trusted Workbench engineering software.
