ICS Triplex T9432 Analog Input Module Unit

Module Feature

T9432 is ICS Triplex AADvance safety system analog input module with sixteen galvanically isolated input channels. It supports 4–20mA standard process signal and extended 0–24mA range, compatible with HART smart transmitters. Each channel provides open-circuit, short-circuit and out-of-range line diagnostics for safety integrity. Sampling update cycle is 6ms without filter, high resolution 15-bit conversion. It accepts redundant 24V DC power supply for high availability. Triple modular voting architecture ensures fault tolerance; single channel fault will not cause module loss of function. Configurable threshold and hysteresis can be set individually for each channel via AADvance Workbench software. Hot swap supported for online replacement without shutting down the SIS rack. Widely deployed for burner management, overpressure protection, emergency shutdown and toxic gas monitoring in petrochemical and power plant.

Working principle

Field 4–20mA signals from transmitters enter isolated input circuits. The onboard ADC converts analog current to digital value. Internal fault detection circuits check cable integrity and signal validity. Process data and diagnostic flags are transmitted to the AADvance controller backplane. Controller executes safety logic and voting to trigger ESD interlock when measurement exceeds safe limit.

InstallationInsert module into matched AADvance rack slot. Wire field transmitter cables to channel terminals, follow isolation and grounding rules. Connect redundant 24V DC power. Configure channel type and alarm parameters in AADvance Workbench. Perform loop test and fault injection test before safety commissioning.
