Mettler Toledo 0782-200T Load Cell Unit

Module Feature

0782-200T belongs to Mettler Toledo 0782 high capacity load cell series.

It is a column-type compression weighing sensor with 200 ton rated capacity. It is made of stainless steel and adopts fully hermetic sealing design, with IP68 / IP69K protection rating. It supports OIML C3 and NTEP certification, and has ATEX, IECEx and FM hazardous area approvals. It is widely used for truck weighbridges, large silos, tank inventory weighing and heavy industrial batching systems.

Working principle

Internal strain gauges deform proportionally under compression load.

The Wheatstone bridge circuit converts mechanical deformation into a low-level millivolt signal. The signal is transmitted to a weighing transmitter or indicator for weight calculation, temperature compensation and digital output. It only measures compressive force and cannot withstand large lateral overload.

Onboard components

Stainless steel load body, strain gauge bridge assembly, hermetic sealing structure, internal cable lead, loading cap and base seat.

LED indicators

No built-in LED. Status and fault information are displayed on matched weighing transmitter or HMI.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

No built-in self-diagnosis circuit. Sensor damage, cable breakage and signal abnormality are identified by upper weighing instrument diagnostics.

Programming software

Mettler Toledo Weighing Configuration Software, used for scale calibration, linearization and alarm setup.

Installation

Install the load cell vertically between upper loading cap and base support.

Align the force along the central axis to avoid side force. Connect shielded signal cable to weighing transmitter, perform zero and span calibration after installation.

Interface

Shielded signal cable outlet, compression load contact surface.

Diagnostic

Signal unstable: Side load force, loose mounting or damaged cable shielding. Zero drift: Temperature variation, foundation settlement or sensor creep. No output: Broken internal strain gauge or open cable circuit.
