MS41W25 Manual Gear Actuator Unit

Module Feature

MS41W25 is a worm gear type manual quarter-turn actuator for industrial pipeline valves.

It adopts irreversible worm and wormwheel transmission structure, provides torque amplification and self-locking function to maintain valve position after adjustment. It is equipped with handwheel, travel stop screws and position indicator. It follows ISO 5211 flange standard and can be matched with butterfly valves and ball valves of different pressure classes. It is widely used in water treatment, heating pipeline and general chemical process piping for valve local manual operation.

Working principle

Rotating the handwheel drives the worm to rotate, which drives the wormwheel to output 90-degree rotary motion.

The self-locking feature prevents the valve from being pushed back by medium pressure. The two built-in adjustable limit screws set the fully open and fully closed positions of the valve.

Onboard components

Cast iron gear housing, worm and wormwheel pair, carbon steel handwheel, position indicator plate, adjustable travel stop bolts, ISO5211 drive flange, lubricating grease cavity.

LED indicators

No built-in LED. Valve open/closed state is read from mechanical position indicator.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

No electronic self-diagnosis. Regular inspection checks for oil leakage, abnormal operating torque and indicator misalignment.

Programming software

No supporting configuration software.

Installation

Mount the gearbox flange to the valve top flange, align the drive square. Adjust open/closed limit stops, fill gear cavity with lubricant and test full stroke before commissioning.

Diagnostic

Hard to turn: Gear tooth wear, insufficient lubricant or misaligned drive square. Position drift: Loose stop bolt or worn wormwheel. Oil leakage: Damaged shaft seal or loose housing gasket.
