OPTIMATION E6474A & W1314A Drive Test System

Module Feature

Keysight E6474A is wireless network optimization and drive test software platform. W1314A is the matched multi-band RF measurement receiver hardware. This combined system is used for cellular mobile network coverage test, signal quality measurement, interference detection and network optimization. It can support GSM, WCDMA and LTE multi-network standard, and simultaneously measure up to 8 frequency bands. Built-in GPS 1PPS timing module, for geographic position tagging of measured RF data. It is a portable field test system, widely used for mobile communication network site survey, drive test and network troubleshooting. The product is obsolete, belongs to legacy wireless test instrument.

Working principle: W1314A receiver captures over-the-air RF cellular signals, converts RF signals to digital measurement data, transmits to PC via USB. E6474A software processes signal level, cell ID, timing and spectrum parameters, displays measurement data on digital map, records log files for post analysis. GPS provides position and time synchronization for each measurement point. System compatibility

E6474A software only works with W1314A series receiver hardware, compatible with Windows PC for field measurement logging.

Function

E6474A + W1314A system manufactured by Keysight (Agilent). It performs cellular network drive test, collects RF signal strength and cell information. RF port damage, GPS antenna failure or USB communication error will cause measurement interruption. It is portable field test instrument for mobile communication network coverage survey and optimization.

Installation

Follow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Power off receiver. Connect GPS antenna and RF test antenna, connect USB cable to laptop, power on receiver. Launch E6474A software, configure frequency band parameters, wait for GPS lock, start drive test logging.

Diagnostic

No RF measurement:Antenna cable broken or RF port damaged. GPS no fix:GPS antenna damaged, poor sky view or timing module not calibrated. Communication drop:USB cable loose or driver error. Amplitude reading error:Receiver needs re-calibration.
