OPTIMATION OL2104 Digital Output Module

Module Feature

OPTIMATION OL2104 belongs to OptiLogic series multi-voltage digital output module. It provides isolated relay output channels compatible with 5VDC, 60VDC and 120VAC field loads. Built-in contact surge suppression, each channel has independent status LED. Standard OptiLogic form factor, snap into OL4228 and other OptiLogic RTU racks. Suitable for switching valves, alarms and auxiliary equipment in semiconductor wet bench and chemical delivery control systems.

Working principle: RTU backplane receives commands from host controller, the internal relay contact closes or opens to switch external AC/DC load. Surge suppression circuit protects contacts from arc damage during switching. Onboard components: Electromechanical relay units, surge suppression circuit, logic control PCB, removable terminal block, backplane edge connector, front panel channel LED indicators

Function

OL2104 relay output module manufactured by OPTIMATION. It switches multi-voltage AC and DC field loads. Relay contact wear or overloaded wiring will cause contact burnout and channel failure. It is versatile discrete output component for wet process automation control cabinet.

Installation

Follow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Power off OptiLogic RTU rack. Insert module into empty rack slot and lock latches. Wire field load cables to removable terminal block, plug terminal back to module. Test each relay channel before production startup.

Diagnostic

Channel cannot activate: Relay coil damage or backplane communication fault. Intermittent switching: Relay contact burn and oxidation. Module undetected: Poor backplane contact. Contact arcing: Missing surge suppression or overcurrent load.
