OPTIMATION OP-9001 Communications Master Gateway

Module Feature

OPTIMATION OP-9001 is OptiMate series single-bus communication master gateway. Operating voltage 8~30VDC. It allows multiple OP / OM OptiMate operator terminals to share one PLC serial communication port through RS422 multi-drop bus. Dip switches on board for baud rate, station address and bus termination resistor setting. Metal cabinet surface mount housing. NSNP means New Surplus Manufacturer Package, brand new surplus spare with original factory packaging. Widely used in semiconductor wet bench and chemical fluid delivery control cabinets for multi-operator HMI serial network.

Working principle: OP-9001 communicates with host PLC via serial port, then distributes process data, setpoints and alarm messages to all HMI panels on RS422 multi-drop bus. It transparently transmits operator keypad commands back to PLC. Single bus design for medium or small scale HMI network. Function

OP-9001 communication master manufactured by OPTIMATION. It saves PLC serial ports when multiple HMI panels are installed. Wrong baud rate, duplicated station address or missing termination resistor will cause communication failure. NSNP is new surplus spare with original manufacturer packaging. It is central serial gateway component for wet bench multi-operator panel control network.

Installation

Follow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Power off control cabinet. Fix unit on cabinet inner surface. Wire 8-30VDC power, PLC serial cable and RS422 multi-drop bus cable for HMI panels. Set DIP switch parameters, download configuration via OP-WINEDIT, test all connected panels before production startup.

InterfacePLC serial D-sub connector, RS422 bus terminal block, DC power terminal, power and communication bi-color LED indicators on housing of OP-9001.

Diagnostic

No PLC communication:Baud rate mismatch, parity setting error or PLC wiring fault. All panels offline:No 8~30VDC power supply or bus short circuit. Single panel no response:Panel address conflict or damaged drop cable. Intermittent communication:Missing bus termination resistor or unshielded serial cable.
