Module Feature

HDS04.2-W200N-HS32-01-FW belongs to Rexroth Indramat DIAX04 HDS modular servo drive family.

It is a high-power single-axis servo controller for synchronous and asynchronous motors, adopts modular plug-in design for control card, communication card and I/O expansion. HS32 stands for Sercos digital communication interface, supports real-time bus synchronization and bumpless axis positioning. This legacy EOL drive is widely used for machine tool, printing, packaging and robotic handling equipment spare replacement.

Working principle

The DC bus power is processed by internal power stage to output high dynamic PWM waveform.

It receives position and speed setpoints from upper controller via Sercos bus, and realizes closed-loop torque, speed and position control with encoder feedback. It has full protection functions including overcurrent, DC bus overvoltage, overtemperature and tracking error alarm.

Onboard components

Power module, DC bus capacitors, current detection circuit, main control board, Sercos communication card, built-in cooling fan, signal and power terminal block.

LED indicators

Front LEDs show power status, run state, communication link and fault alarm code.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Power-on self-test and continuous monitoring detect bus undervoltage/overvoltage, overheat, encoder loss, Sercos sync interruption and hardware failure, fault codes display on local indicator.

Programming software

Indramat IndraWorks, used for motor identification, motion parameter setting, firmware management and fault record reading.

Installation

Install drive inside control cabinet, ensure good ventilation.

Connect DC bus, motor cable, encoder cable and Sercos fiber/cable. Download motor data and motion program, test axis homing and protection trip function before commissioning.
