Products Description
Sanyo Denki 103H5505-70E1 Stepping Motor

Module Feature
Sanyo Denki 103H5505-70E1 is five-phase high-precision hybrid stepping motor. It adopts hybrid magnetic circuit structure, features small step angle, high positioning repeatability, low vibration and low running noise. Stable torque output at low speed. Robust metal housing, good resistance to shock and vibration. Widely applied for precision positioning axes in semiconductor automation, inspection equipment and small automation machinery.
Working principle
The matched stepping driver outputs phase-sequenced pulse current to each phase winding. The alternating magnetic field drives the hybrid rotor to rotate by fixed step angle according to pulse command. Position is controlled by pulse count without position feedback sensor in open-loop mode. When overcurrent or overtemperature occurs, internal winding thermal characteristic limits the output to avoid burnout.
Onboard components
Hybrid rotor, multi-phase stator winding, front and rear bearing set, motor housing, shaft oil seal, multi-phase power terminal connector.
LED indicators
No onboard LED indicators; status and fault information are displayed on matched stepper driver panel.
Hardware self-diagnosis
Visual inspection of motor housing, shaft surface and connectors; winding continuity and insulation resistance test; check for bearing abnormal noise; wiring verification with matched stepping driver.
Programming software
Sanyo Denki SANMOTION setup software for driver parameter setting, microstep configuration and fault diagnosis.

Function
103H5505-70E1 stepping motor manufactured by Sanyo Denki. It converts pulse command signals into mechanical rotary movement, realizing accurate angle and linear positioning for automation axes. Overload, wiring error or winding damage will cause step loss or motor overheating. It is high precision power actuator for semiconductor and industrial automation equipment.
Installation
Follow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Cut off all power supply completely. Fix motor via flange mounting, align coupling properly to avoid radial and axial overload. Connect multi-phase power cable to stepping driver. Set micro-step and current parameters via SANMOTION software, perform trial run and positioning verification before formal operation.
Interface
Multi-phase winding power terminal, motor housing of 103H5505-70E1.
Diagnostic
Motor no rotation: No power supply, wrong phase wiring or driver fault. Step loss: Insufficient torque, mechanical jam or excessive acceleration. Abnormal noise: Phase wiring error, bearing wear or resonance. Overheat: Over current setting, continuous heavy load operation. Insulation fault: Damaged stator winding or cable insulation aging.
