Module Feature

Sanyo Denki PMM-BA-5604 belongs to PMM series digital stepper motor driver. Power supply input AC100/115V, 50/60Hz. Adopts micro-step driving technology, low vibration and low noise during operation. Supports pulse + direction command input, compatible with upper motion controller pulse signal output. Built-in protection functions including overcurrent, overvoltage, overheat and motor wiring fault protection. Compact structure, simple wiring, suitable for cabinet installation. Widely used for light load precision positioning axis in semiconductor wet bench and chemical delivery automation equipment.

Working principle

The upper controller sends pulse and direction signal to this stepper driver. The driver converts AC100/115V input power into multi-phase current to drive matched Sanyo Denki stepper motor. The driver changes current phase sequence according to pulse instruction to realize precise angular rotation and linear positioning. When fault detected, the driver will cut off output and trigger alarm signal.

Installation

Follow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Power off the whole system completely. Fix driver on cabinet panel. Wire AC power cable, motor phase cable and pulse/direction control signal. Configure micro-step resolution via software, perform motor jog test and positioning verification before formal operation.

Diagnostic
