Schneider ATS48D88Y Soft Starter

Feature & Principle

It is a thyristor-based soft starter of Schneider Altistart 48 series. It adopts torque control algorithm instead of simple voltage ramp, which can realize smooth start and stop and effectively suppress water hammer for pump loads. Six internal thyristors adjust motor output voltage, integrate overcurrent, overload, phase loss and thermal protection functions. It supports Modbus communication to connect PLC and SCADA, and can match external bypass contactor to reduce heat loss during long-time running. This model is discontinued and used as maintenance spare for old equipment.
