Module Feature

6SL3330-6TE37-3AA3 is Siemens SINAMICS S120 cabinet-mounted Smart Line Module. Model decoding: Smart Line is non-regenerative rectifier, it cannot feed braking energy back to grid. Rated power 355kW, input three-phase 380~480V AC, output DC 510~650V, DC rated current 730A. Built-in forced air cooling, IP00 open frame structure, equipped with Drive-CLiQ communication cable for connection with CU control unit. Multiple protection functions such as overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent and overheat. It supplies DC bus power for S120 motor modules, suitable for fans, pumps, conveyors, rolling mills and other equipment without frequent high-power braking requirements.

Working principle

Three-phase AC is rectified and stabilized into DC bus voltage to supply power to the post-stage inverter power modules. The internal control circuit communicates with CU via Drive-CLiQ, monitors grid status and module temperature in real time, dynamically adjusts rectifier operation. When the motor brakes, excess energy needs to be consumed through external braking resistor.

Onboard components

Input rectifier power assembly, DC bus capacitor bank, internal cooling fan group, CIM control interface board, Drive-CLiQ communication interface, current & voltage sampling circuit, power terminal busbar.

LED indicators

Front panel LED status lights for power, run and fault alarm; fault codes and operating parameters can be checked on the S120 control panel.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Power-on self-check detects grid phase loss, DC bus over/under voltage, overcurrent, module overtemperature, fan failure, Drive-CLiQ communication interruption. Fault events are stored in the control unit memory.

Programming software

Commissioning and parameter configuration use Siemens STARTER software, download project and perform topology identification.

Installation

Install module in low-voltage cabinet and reserve ventilation space. Connect three-phase grid input and DC bus output to motor modules. Wire Drive-CLiQ cable to CU control unit. After power-on, complete topology identification and parameter download in STARTER. Configure brake unit and resistor if regenerative braking is required.

Diagnostic
