Products Description
Siemens 7KQ3101 MicroSAM Process Gas Chromatograph Unit

Module Feature
7KQ3101 is Siemens MicroSAM miniature process gas chromatograph adopting MEMS micro‑chip chromatographic technology. Built‑in valveless live injection, micro‑fabricated capillary separation column and high‑sensitivity detector. It is housed in Ex‑d flame‑proof enclosure, suitable for Zone 1 / Div 1 hazardous‑area installation. Can be mounted directly close to sampling point, shortens sample transport pipeline, reduces sample lag time. It performs continuous multi‑component gas analysis, widely applied for natural‑gas processing, petrochemical reactors and pipeline gas monitoring. This unit is legacy equipment, mostly supplied as used / refurbished spare instrumentkassystem.....
Working principle
Sample gas enters analyzer, micro‑chip valveless injection system injects fixed‑volume sample into capillary column. Each gas component obtains different migration velocity inside separation column to achieve component separation. Detector converts component concentration into electrical signal; internal CPU performs chromatogram calculation and outputs each component concentration result. Carrier‑gas (hydrogen / helium) provides driving force for component separation.
Onboard components
MEMS micro‑chip analysis module, valveless live‑injection unit, micro‑capillary separation column, high‑performance detector, electronic pressure regulating assembly, Ex‑d flame‑proof metal enclosure, gas path manifold, internal CPU & communication circuit, gas inlet / outlet manifold interface.
LED indicators
Front‑panel status LED lamps for power‑on, run, fault and alarm status; detailed chromatogram and diagnostic data read via host PC software.
Hardware self‑diagnosis
Self‑diagnosis covers carrier‑gas pressure anomaly, sample‑gas pressure deviation, detector fault, column oven temperature drift, internal communication error. Fault codes and event logs can be viewed by configuration software.
Programming software
Configuration, chromatogram viewing, calibration and fault diagnosis are completed by MicroSAM PC software; supports Modbus‑RTU, TCP/IP Ethernet communication to DCS system.
