Module Feature

4098‑5288 is Simplex photoelectric smoke detector sensing head, belongs to fire alarm system peripheral sensor component. Only the detector sensing head, need to cooperate with matching installation base to complete assembly. Adopts photoelectric light‑scattering principle to detect smoldering smoke particles, applied to commercial building, factory fire smoke monitoring, can send smoke alarm signal to fire alarm control panel.

Working principle

Built‑in infrared transmitting tube and receiving tube. When smoke enters detection chamber, smoke particles scatter infrared light, receiving tube receives light signal and converts into electrical signal. When smoke concentration reaches threshold, trigger alarm signal and transmit to fire alarm host.

Onboard components

Infrared optical detection chamber, photoelectric receiving element, signal processing circuit, dust‑proof insect‑proof screen, plastic outer shell, base contact terminal.

LED indicators

Built‑in alarm indicator LED, lights up when smoke alarm is triggered.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Realize sensor contamination fault prompt via fire alarm control panel; dust accumulation will cause pre‑fault warning.

Programming software

No special configuration software, managed by Simplex fire alarm host.
