Triconex 3000602-100 SIS Chassis Rack Unit

Module Feature

3000602-100 is the 8110 high-density main chassis for Triconex Tricon safety instrumented system.

It provides backplane bus, module slots and mechanical mounting structure for Tricon CPU, communication and I/O modules. It supports redundant power supply installation and hot swapping of modules. It is SIL3 certified and widely used in oil & gas, chemical and power plant safety interlock control system.

Working principle

The internal backplane realizes high-speed data communication between all plugged modules.

It distributes power supply and provides mechanical locking and signal interconnection for safety modules. Redundant architecture ensures continuous operation when single module fails.

Onboard components

Backplane bus board, module guide rail, locking mechanism, power distribution terminals, metal cabinet frame.

LED indicators

No independent LED on chassis, status indicators are integrated on the inserted functional modules.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Diagnosis is implemented by Tricon controller, detecting backplane communication failure and power channel anomaly.

Programming software

Triconex TriStation, used for SIS logic programming, module configuration and fault diagnosis.

Installation
