Products Description
VMIC VME7807RC Single Board Computer

Module Feature
VMIC VME7807RC is a single-slot 6U VME64 Eurocard single board computer built on Intel Pentium M processor paired with Intel 855GME chipset, supporting CPU speed options from 1.1 GHz up to 1.8 GHz. It accepts one 200-pin DDR SDRAM SODIMM plus optional soldered 512 MB onboard memory, maximum total memory up to 1.5 GB. Equipped with one PCI-X PMC mezzanine expansion site running at 66 MHz for reflective memory or custom I/O modules. Integrated graphics engine supports front-panel SVGA and rear DVI-D dual-head display output. Network interfaces include front-panel 10/100 Mbps Ethernet plus dual gigabit Ethernet with optional VITA 31.1 P0 rear interface. Four 16550-compatible serial ports configurable for RS232/422, four USB2.0 channels, SATA and IDE storage interface, PS/2 keyboard/mouse, hardware watchdog timer and real-time clock. Flash BIOS supports field firmware upgrade. Passive heatsink cooling without fan; rugged board construction with shock and vibration resistance, widely deployed for real-time simulation, turbine control, aerospace test and high availability industrial embedded systems.
Working principle
The Pentium M processor executes embedded operating system and user application code. PCI-to-VME bridge implements VMEbus master and slave functions for data exchange with other VME modules in chassis. PCI-X PMC connector enables expansion with mezzanine boards for extra communication or signal acquisition. Integrated GPU handles display output; multi-Ethernet controllers manage network data transmission. Flash memory stores BIOS firmware for boot sequence. Programmable watchdog timer automatically resets the board when software crash occurs to maintain system stability.
