Module Feature

30286-1500-0301 is factory calibrated coaxial extension cable for eddy current proximity probe system.

It is custom fixed capacitance cable, must match the specified proximity probe and proximitor conditioner as a set. It adopts overall shielding structure, oil and high temperature resistant insulation, anti-interference for heavy vibration environment on turbine and compressor bearing housing. The connectors are pre-terminated, strain relief and sealed design to prevent moisture ingress. It is stocked as critical maintenance spare for power plant and oil & gas rotating machinery protection system.

Working principle

It transmits high-frequency excitation signal from proximitor to probe, and feeds back impedance sensing signal from probe back to conditioner.

The cable’s distributed capacitance is precisely controlled during manufacturing to guarantee linear gap voltage output. Any mismatch of cable capacitance will cause measurement error and channel alarm. The shield layer restrains external electromagnetic interference to stabilize vibration signal waveform.

Onboard components

Coaxial inner conductor, dielectric insulation, copper braid shield, outer protective jacket, pre-crimped coaxial connectors, sealing boot and strain relief.

LED indicators

No local LED indicator. Cable health status is judged by gap voltage and channel fault alarm on matched proximitor module.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Diagnosis is completed by matched proximitor, detects cable open circuit, short circuit and capacitance deviation out of range. Channel setup and verification use system monitoring configuration software.

Installation

Stop rotating equipment and power off monitoring rack before replacement.

Route cable away from high-power AC cables, avoid sharp bending and pulling, tighten coaxial connectors properly, test gap voltage and vibration waveform after commissioning.

Interface

Coaxial connectors for proximity probe end and proximitor terminal end.

Diagnostic

Probe fault alarm: Cable inner core open/short, connector loose or insulation damage. Vibration signal noisy: Shield grounding error, cross interference with power cable. Gap offset error: Wrong cable capacitance, not the matched calibrated cable.
