Module Feature

ATX10S5N26T is the electronic transmitter unit of Det-Tronics FlexSonic ultrasonic gas leak detector.

It must pair with AC100 acoustic sensing probe to form a complete leak detection assembly. It analyzes ultrasonic vibration signal captured by the sensor, filters wind and plant background noise, identifies high-pressure gas leakage acoustic signature. It supports HART digital protocol and 4-20mA analog output, suitable for open area, high airflow and high vibration industrial site where conventional point gas detectors perform poorly. It is SIL2 safety rated, widely stocked as maintenance spare for refinery, natural gas compressor station and chemical plant fire & gas safety cabinet.

Working principle

AC100 sensor picks up ultrasonic acoustic signal generated by gas jet leakage.

Transmitter internal DSP circuit filters interference signal, calculates leak severity and converts measurement result to analog 4-20mA and HART digital signal. Continuous self-check monitors microphone health, signal gain and electronics integrity. When leak threshold is exceeded, the unit sends alarm signal to F&G controller and DCS safety interlock system.

Onboard components

DSP processing board, signal conditioning circuit, HART communication circuit, power regulation module, non-volatile memory, status indicator, weatherproof aluminum explosion-proof housing, sensor wiring terminal.

LED indicators

Front housing LEDs indicate power, RUN, normal status, leak alarm and system fault alarm.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Built-in supervision detects sensor open/short, microphone signal loss, electronics fault, HART communication loss and gain deviation. Calibration and configuration are completed by Det-Tronics Vision software.

Programming software

Det-Tronics Vision, used for leak threshold setup, noise filter configuration, HART tag assignment and fault log reading.

Installation

Isolate instrument loop power before replacement.

Confirm wiring between ATX10 transmitter and AC100 acoustic sensor, check 24VDC loop power, set leak threshold and noise filter parameters, test leak simulation and alarm output function after commissioning.

Interface

Sensor signal terminal block, two-wire 4-20mA+HART signal terminal.

Diagnostic

Fault alarm: AC100 sensor wiring open/short, microphone damage or internal electronics failure. No leak response: Wrong threshold setting, heavy background noise or sensor blocked. HART communication lost: Missing loop resistor, cable damage or device address conflict.
