Module Feature

CRV-SRDFMT2SL is Square D PowerPacT R heavy-duty molded case circuit breaker for North American standard power distribution system.

It adopts 3-pole structure, equipped with Micrologic electronic trip unit supporting LSIG selective protection, including long time overload, short time delay, instantaneous short circuit and earth fault protection. It supports electrical motor operator, auxiliary contact, alarm contact and communication expansion module for SCADA remote monitoring. It has high anti-vibration performance and stable thermal characteristic, widely stocked as maintenance spare for factory, data center and oil & gas 480V low voltage switchgear cabinet.

Working principle

Built-in current transformers collect three-phase current signals and send data to Micrologic trip unit.

Electronic protection module compares real-time current with preset protection curves continuously. When overload, short circuit or earth fault is detected, the trip mechanism is triggered rapidly to separate main contacts and isolate the faulty circuit. Fault timestamp, waveform data and operation counter are stored inside the trip unit, and status information can be uploaded to upper SCADA system via communication bus.

Onboard components

Main contact assembly, arc extinguishing chamber, CT sensor set, Micrologic electronic trip unit, spring operating mechanism, auxiliary contact block, alarm contact, front operation handle, status indicator window and reinforced insulated housing.

LED indicators

Front indicators show breaker ON, breaker OFF and fault trip status. Protection parameters and fault codes are displayed on Micrologic trip unit panel.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Micrologic trip unit runs continuous supervision for trip coil continuity, CT signal integrity, internal power supply and hardware anomaly. Parameter configuration and fault log reading are completed by EcoStruxure Power Commission software.

Programming software

EcoStruxure Power Commission, used for protection curve setting, earth fault threshold, communication address and firmware upgrade.

Installation

Isolate upstream power supply before replacement.

Check primary lug wiring and secondary control wiring, confirm three-phase phase sequence, set protection parameters according to design, test manual/electric closing, tripping and earth fault protection function after commissioning.

Interface

Primary lug terminal for line and load side, secondary screw terminal block for auxiliary contact, alarm contact and communication module.

Diagnostic

Cannot electrically close: Spring not charged, control power loss or interlock active. False earth fault trip: CT polarity reversed, stray leakage or improper earth threshold. Communication offline: Termination resistor missing, cable damage or station address conflict.
