Module Feature

600A 4POLE stands for a 4‑pole circuit breaker with rated current 600A, which includes three phase poles plus independent neutral pole.

It can be air circuit breaker (ACB) or moulded case circuit breaker (MCCB) depending on frame size and breaking requirement. The neutral pole provides switching and protection for neutral conductor, widely used in TN‑S distribution system where neutral isolation and earth leakage protection are required. It supports electronic trip unit with adjustable overload, short delay, instantaneous and earth fault settings. It can be fitted with motor operator, auxiliary contacts and communication module for remote control and SCADA trending. It is commonly stocked as maintenance spare for factory process skid, commercial building and power plant auxiliary low voltage cabinet.

Working principle

Current transformers sample current on L1, L2, L3 and N conductors.

Trip unit compares measured current against configured protection curves. When overload, short circuit or earth fault occurs, the internal release mechanism trips all four poles simultaneously to isolate phase and neutral. Operation count, fault type and timestamp are stored inside trip unit for troubleshooting. Remote opening, closing and alarm uploading are available via communication interface.

Onboard components

Main contact sets for 4 poles, arc extinguishing chambers, CT sensing group, electronic trip unit, operating mechanism, auxiliary contact block, status indicators, control terminal block and insulated housing.

LED indicators

Front LEDs indicate breaker ON, breaker OFF, fault trip, overload pre-alarm and communication active.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Built-in supervision detects trip coil continuity, CT open circuit and internal power fault. Fault checking and parameter commissioning are finished by the brand’s dedicated configuration software.

Programming software

Manufacturer protection commissioning tool, used for protection curve setup, earth fault threshold, communication address and fault log reading.

Installation

Isolate upstream power supply before replacement.

Confirm 4-pole wiring of three phases and neutral, check neutral polarity, set protection parameters according to design, test electrical closing, tripping and earth fault protection function.

Interface

Primary power terminals for L1/L2/L3/N, secondary screw terminals for auxiliary contact, trip coil and communication signal.

Diagnostic

Earth fault false alarm: Neutral wiring error, CT polarity reversed or stray leakage. Cannot trip: Trip unit failure, mechanical jamming or release coil damage. Communication interruption: Bus termination resistance mismatch, cable damage or wrong address.
