Hot-swappable discrete input module for ABB Master and Advant legacy DCS systems. It samples dry contact and 24V DC field status signals, optical isolation separates hazardous field circuits and control backplane. Built-in self-diagnosis detects loop break and internal fault, transmits interlock, feedback and status signals to the main controller without rack shutdown during module replacement.

Optocoupler sampling board, signal conditioning circuit, status LED group, backplane bus connector and test relay circuit. Common faults include signal dropout, intermittent sampling, optical channel damage and backplane bad contact.
