ABB REA105 Arc Protection Extension Module

Feature & Principle

It is an expansion module for ABB REA arc protection system, used together with REA101 main relay. It receives optical signal from loop or radial fiber sensor, and executes fast tripping when arc light and overcurrent signal are detected at the same time. It provides 3 RJ45 ports for interconnection between main units and extension modules, expands the protection zones of switchgear. It integrates self-supervision function to monitor power supply and fiber loop health, and supports breaker failure protection to send delayed trip signal for upstream breaker.
