Module Feature

509-COD belongs to Bulletin 509 NEMA full voltage non-reversing starter manufactured by Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Automation). NEMA Size2 open type assembly,control coil rated 115~120V,60Hz. Equipped with eutectic alloy thermal overload relay for motor overcurrent protection. Integrated auxiliary contacts for PLC status feedback and control interlock. Mechanical life up to 10 million operations. Widely used for direct-on-line starting of fans,water pumps,conveyors and general three-phase industrial motors.

Working principle

When the control coil is energized,the main contactor closes and full three-phase mains voltage is applied directly to motor terminals. The eutectic alloy overload relay monitors motor current continuously. When overload occurs,the alloy melts and trips contactor to cut off motor power. Auxiliary contacts output running and fault signals to external control system.

Installation
