Module Feature

2094‑BC07‑M05‑M is the IAM integrated axis power module of Allen‑Bradley Kinetix 6200 series.

It integrates rectifier and inverter circuit, supports shared DC bus multi-axis servo configuration, communicates with motion controller via SERCOS fiber bus. It is equipped with Safe Torque Off safety circuit and supports closed-loop position, speed and torque control for Kinetix MP servo motors. This obsolete module is widely used for overhaul of packaging machines, CNC equipment and material handling motion systems.

Working principle

Three-phase AC power is rectified into DC bus voltage.

The internal IGBT inverter outputs PWM power to servo motor. Motion commands are transmitted through SERCOS fiber, and closed-loop control is realized by encoder feedback. The STO circuit safely cuts torque output under safety interlock signals. It has full protection of overcurrent, overvoltage, overtemperature and tracking error.

Onboard components

Rectifier bridge, IGBT inverter unit, DC bus capacitors, SERCOS optical transceiver, encoder signal circuit, STO safety circuit, cooling fan, terminal block.

LED indicators

Onboard LEDs display power status, bus ready, running state, SERCOS link and fault alarm.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Power-on self-test and continuous monitoring detect communication loss, encoder fault, overtemperature, bus voltage deviation and hardware failure, fault codes can be read via motion software.

Programming software

Studio 5000, Motion Analyzer, for axis configuration, servo tuning and fault backup.

Installation

Disconnect power before replacement, fix module to Kinetix backplane.

Wire main power, DC bus, motor cable, encoder and SERCOS fiber according to drawing. Download motion configuration and complete auto-tune before trial operation. Clean fan and radiator periodically.

Diagnostic

SERCOS link loss: Fiber damage, reversed fiber direction, wrong address.
