Module Feature

133388-01N belongs to Banner plastic fiber optic cable series. It is diffuse mode fiber with threaded metal sensing tip. The fiber cable can be cut to custom length on site for flexible installation. Designed to pair with Banner fiber optic amplifiers. Compact threaded probe enables mounting into narrow machine spaces. It transmits infrared light for detecting small parts, presence or edge detection. No electronic circuit on the fiber head, only light transmission medium.

Working principle

Fiber cable guides infrared light from amplifier to target surface. Light reflects back through the same fiber to amplifier. Amplifier judges object presence according to returned light intensity. Fiber head has no electrical components, can be installed in high vibration or high temperature local zone.

Onboard components

Plastic optical fiber, metal threaded sensing tip, protective outer jacket, stripped end for connecting to fiber amplifier.

LED indicators

No built-in LED indicators on fiber cable.

Hardware self-diagnosis

Visual inspection of fiber breakage and tip contamination, check light transmission with fiber amplifier, verify no excessive bending radius.

Installation

Follow strict ESD safety procedure before handling.Thread the probe into mounting hole.Strip fiber end properly and insert into Banner fiber amplifier,set threshold for object detection.
