Module Feature

47134-1338-139114 belongs to Bently Nevada 3300 eddy current vibration sensor accessory cable.

It is factory calibrated coaxial extension cable, matched with 3300 series proximity probe and proximitor. Special low-loss RF coaxial wire, double shielded construction to resist EMC interference. Both ends pre-assembled with standard Bently 4-pin connectors, fixed calibrated length, capacitance matched to ensure linear vibration measurement range. It transmits high-frequency eddy current signal between probe and proximitor, widely used in turbomachinery monitoring cabinet for steam turbine, gas turbine, centrifugal compressor and large pump.

Working principle

The cable transmits high frequency RF excitation signal from proximitor to eddy current probe.

It also sends the probe’s reflected impedance signal back to proximitor module. The cable capacitance and impedance must keep consistent; otherwise it will cause gap voltage drift and wrong vibration reading. Double shield layer reduces electromagnetic interference from variable frequency drives and high power equipment.

Low capacitance coaxial core wire, insulation dielectric, inner shield, outer braided shield, outer jacket, molded sealed 4-pin connectors, strain relief boot.

LED indicators

Not applicable, passive cable assembly without electronic indicator. Cable health is judged by 3500 rack channel diagnostic.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

No independent self-diagnosis. The 3500 monitor module can detect cable open circuit, short circuit and gap voltage out of range.

Programming software

Installation

Avoid bending cable below minimum bend radius, do not splice or cut calibrated cable.

Route separately away from high voltage power cable, lock connector threads tightly, install cable strain relief.
