Module Feature

DA1-34061FB-B55C is a high-performance IP55 variable frequency drive from Eaton PowerXL DA1 series.

It supports asynchronous motor, permanent magnet motor and synchronous reluctance motor control. It integrates RFI EMC filter, brake chopper and STO safe torque off function. Built-in function block editor provides simple PLC logic without extra controller. IP55 sealed housing adapts to dusty and wet on-site environments, no need for separate control cabinet. Widely stocked as spare for water treatment, HVAC, material handling and marine auxiliary equipment.

Working principle

Three-phase AC input is rectified into DC bus voltage, then IGBT inverter outputs adjustable frequency and voltage to drive motor.

The control unit executes vector or V/F control algorithm to adjust rotating speed and torque. The internal brake chopper consumes regenerative energy during rapid deceleration. It monitors current, voltage and temperature continuously, and triggers protection action when fault occurs. It supports Modbus RTU and CANopen communication to exchange data with PLC and SCADA.

Onboard components

Input rectifier, IGBT power module, control mainboard, current & voltage sampling circuit, built-in RFI filter, brake chopper, cooling fan, operation panel and sealed metal housing.

LED indicators

Front panel LEDs indicate power, run, fault, alarm and communication status.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Drive monitors bus voltage, output current, heat sink temperature, motor overload and STO circuit integrity. Parameters can be set on local keypad or PC software.

Programming software

Eaton drivesConnect, used for motor parameter setup, logic programming, communication configuration, fault diagnosis and firmware upgrade.

Installation

Cut off three-phase main power before replacement.

Fix drive vertically on solid wall, connect power input, motor cable and braking resistor if needed, wire control and communication signal, set motor nameplate data, test speed regulation, STO and alarm function after commissioning.

Interface

3-phase power input terminals, motor output terminals, brake resistor terminals, digital/analog I/O, Modbus/CANopen communication port, STO safety terminals.

Diagnostic

Overcurrent fault: Motor short circuit, cable damage or acceleration too fast. Overheat alarm: Fan blocked, dust accumulation or ambient temperature over limit. STO trip: Safety circuit broken or emergency stop activated.
