It converts 10G electrical signals to optical signals for transmission over internal fiber, no separate transceivers required. It supports DDM to monitor transmit optical power, receive power, module temperature and supply voltage. It triggers alarm once link loss, over-temperature or module fault occurs. It is used for direct 10G interconnection between adjacent rack switches.

InstallationPower off before installation. Insert both SFP+ ends into the SFP+ slots of two switches. Secure the latches. Verify module identification by switch OS, check optical power and port link status before putting into production.
