10GBASE-SR is Extreme original 10G SFP+ multimode transceiver. Compatible with Extreme Summit X440, X450a, VSP series switches equipped with SFP+ slots. Supports DOM real-time monitoring of optical power, temperature, supply voltage and laser bias current. Widely used inside data center rack interconnection, enterprise core short-distance 10G multimode fiber links.

Function

10GBASE-SR converts 10G electrical signal into optical signal for multimode fiber transmission at 850nm wavelength. DOM function can read transceiver working parameters in real time. It is used for short-range 10G point-to-point multimode fiber interconnection between switches and servers inside computer room.

Installation

Wear ESD anti-static wrist strap. Insert the SFP+ module fully into the SFP+ port of switch. Connect LC multimode fiber patch cord. Power on the equipment, verify module identification, DOM optical power reading and link status via switch CLI before commissioning.
