System compatibility

220-24t-10GE2 belongs to ExtremeSwitching 220 series. It can stack with other 220 series switches, maximum 4 units in one stack and managed under single IP address. Compatible with Extreme certified SFP+ optical modules and DAC cables. Supports Layer2 switching and Layer3 routing including static route and RIP, up to 64 static routes. Designed for enterprise branch, computer room and wired access layer deployment without PoE requirement.

Function

220-24t-10GE2 is rack-mounted stackable non-PoE gigabit switch for enterprise edge access network. 24 gigabit copper ports connect workstations, PCs and local network terminals. Two SFP+ slots provide high-speed 10G fiber uplink to aggregation layer switch. Stacking function combines multiple physical switches as one logical device to simplify network management. It supports VLAN, MSTP/RSTP, 802.1X authentication, LLDP, QoS and traffic filtering. Widely used for office wired network, server room access and medium branch office network.

Installation

Mount the switch to standard 19-inch rack. Connect AC power cord. Use console cable for initial CLI configuration. Insert SFP+ transceiver and fiber/DAC cable for 10G uplink. Configure stacking parameters if multi-switch cluster required. Set VLAN and routing functions as needed. Verify port status and stack connection after power on.
