System compatibility

4220-48P-4X is Extreme Networks 4220 series cloud-managed high-density PoE access switch. The SFP+ slots are compatible with Extreme 1G /10G optical transceivers including SR, LR, BiDi modules. Supports local CLI management and ExtremeCloud IQ cloud management. Widely deployed in enterprise campus, office buildings, high-density Wi-Fi AP and IP camera PoE access scenarios. It can stack with other 4220 switches for large access network expansion.

Function

4220-48P-4X is Layer2 gigabit PoE access switch. It delivers PoE+ power to wireless AP, IP camera and IP telephone on 48 RJ45 ports. The four SFP+ slots provide high-speed 10G fiber uplink or stacking function. Supports zero-touch provisioning, VLAN, QoS, port security, storm control and network monitoring. Cloud management simplifies multi-site network operation and rapid fault diagnosis.

Installation

Mount the switch into standard 19-inch 1RU equipment rack. Connect power cable and power on. Connect RJ45 terminals to PoE powered devices. Insert SFP/SFP+ transceiver into SFP+ slot and connect fiber cable. Configure via local console or ExtremeCloud IQ. Verify port status and PoE power output after commissioning.
