System compatibility

5320-16P-4XE belongs to Extreme 5320 universal edge switch series. It can stack together with other 5320 series switches, maximum 8 units per stack and managed via single IP address. Compatible with Extreme certified 1G/10G SFP+ transceivers and DAC cables. Supports Layer2 switching and advanced Layer3 routing, MACsec port encryption, ideal for enterprise campus, branch and IP camera access layer deployment.

Function

5320-16P-4XE is next-generation PoE+ edge switch for digital enterprise networks. 16 PoE+ copper ports deliver data and 30W power for wireless APs, IP surveillance cameras and VoIP terminals. Four SFP+ ports support 1G or 10G uplink to aggregation switch, two of them can be used for high-speed stacking. Full-port MACsec encryption provides secure data transmission between network nodes. It supports VLAN, MSTP, 802.1X authentication, LLDP, ACL and QoS traffic scheduling. Widely deployed for campus wireless access, multi-site branch office and high security surveillance network.

Installation

Mount the switch on standard 19-inch rack. Connect AC power cord. Use console port for initial CLI configuration. Insert SFP+ transceiver or DAC cable for uplink/stacking connection. Configure stacking group, PoE power allocation, MACsec encryption and VLAN policies. Verify port link, PoE output and stack status after power-on.
