System compatibility

5320-48T-8XE belongs to Extreme 5320 universal edge switch series. It can stack with other 5320 series switches, maximum 8 units per stack and managed via single IP address. Compatible with Extreme certified 1G/10G SFP+ transceivers and DAC cables. Supports Layer2 switching and advanced Layer3 routing, full-port MACsec encryption. Suitable for enterprise wiring closet, office wired access and medium campus edge network deployment without PoE requirement.

Function

5320-48T-8XE is next-generation non-PoE gigabit edge switch for enterprise wired access. 48 gigabit copper ports connect workstations, desktop terminals and network equipment. Eight multi-speed SFP+ ports support 1G or 10G fiber uplink to aggregation switch, two of them can be used for high-speed stacking. Full-port MACsec provides end-to-end secure link encryption for sensitive data transmission. It supports VLAN, MSTP, 802.1X authentication, LLDP, ACL and QoS traffic scheduling. Widely used for office wired network, server room access and medium enterprise wiring closet deployment.

Installation

Mount the switch on standard 19-inch rack. Connect AC power cord. Use console port for initial CLI configuration. Insert SFP+ transceiver or DAC cable for uplink/stacking connection. Configure stacking group, VLAN and MACsec encryption policies according to network requirement. Verify port link and stack status after power-on.
