Function

C5G124-24 is non-PoE gigabit stackable Layer3 switch, original Enterasys C5 series. 24 gigabit copper ports connect PCs, printers and non-PoE terminal devices. Four combo SFP ports provide 1G fiber uplink to aggregation switches. Two dedicated high-speed stacking ports enable multiple switches to form a unified logical stack, simplifying management. It supports full L2 switching and basic L3 routing, 802.1X authentication, ACL, QoS and IGMP multicast. External RPS interface supports redundant backup power. Widely used for office, campus and hospital wired access network.

InstallationMount the switch into standard 19-inch rack. Connect AC power cord. Insert 1G SFP transceiver for fiber uplink if required. Use stacking cable to connect stack ports for multi-unit stacking. Access console port for initial configuration, set VLAN, routing and security policy. Verify port status and stack synchronization after power-up.
