EC720003X-E6 belongs to Extreme VSP7200 series VSP7254XSQ top-of-rack switch, inherited from Avaya networking product line. It is the port licensed variant of VSP7254XSQ. Compatible with Extreme/Avaya validated 1G SFP,10G SFP+ and 40G QSFP+ transceivers. Managed via local CLI/web GUI. Widely deployed for data center server rack access, enterprise core high-speed interconnection spare replacement.

Function

EC720003X-E6 is high-density low-latency Layer3 TOR switch with port license enabled. 48 SFP+ ports provide 10G downlink for servers and storage equipment. Six QSFP+ ports support 40G high-speed uplink to core switches. It supports static & dynamic routing, VLAN, STP/RSTP/MSTP, Fabric Connect, LACP link aggregation, ACL, QoS and multicast protocols. It monitors port optical DDM data, power supply state, system temperature and fan health, and triggers hardware fault alarms. Used for data center top-of-rack and large enterprise core network.

Installation

Mount the switch on standard 19-inch 1U rack. Install dual hot-swappable AC power supplies and connect power cords. Insert SFP+/QSFP+ transceivers and fiber patch cords. Connect console port for initial configuration and license verification. Verify boot,port link and routing function before commissioning.
