Function

EC84000X2-E6 is hot-swappable 10G line card for VSP8404C chassis. It supplies 24 multi-rate SFP+ interfaces to expand high-density 10G fiber access or uplink ports. Supports static & dynamic routing, VLAN, STP/RSTP/MSTP, Fabric Connect, LACP link aggregation, ACL, QoS and multicast functions. The module supports DDM to monitor optical power, temperature and voltage of inserted transceivers, reports port and onboard temperature faults to chassis management engine. Applied for data center core chassis high speed port expansion.

Installation

Wear ESD anti-static wrist strap. Remove blank filler panel from the target slot on VSP8404C chassis. Slide the line card fully into the slot and tighten captive screws. The chassis will automatically detect and initialize the module. Insert SFP+ transceivers and fiber patch cords. Verify module identification and port status via chassis CLI before commissioning.
