System compatibilityG8X-SEALED is Extreme Networks rugged sealed industrial managed switch. It runs ExtremeXOS, compatible with Extreme X440, X620, VSP series core switches. Designed for factory floor, transportation, power and outdoor cabinet industrial networks. Widely used for industrial network maintenance and spare replacement.

FunctionG8X-SEALED performs Layer2 switching and basic Layer3 routing for industrial field network. It supports VLAN, STP/RSTP, link aggregation, QoS, ACL and port security. The sealed housing protects internal circuit from dust, vibration and moisture. It monitors port link status, temperature and input DC voltage, triggers alarm for port down, over-temperature and power loss. It is used to replace defective industrial switches in harsh factory automation network.

InstallationCut off DC power before installation. Mount G8X-SEALED on DIN rail or wall bracket. Connect DC power supply, Ethernet cables and SFP transceivers into uplink slots. Configure ExtremeXOS, VLAN and ring redundancy parameters. Verify port link and network traffic before putting into production.
