System compatibility

Summit X450a-24t works with XGM2 series 10G uplink expansion modules. Supports SummitStack stacking for multiple switch clustering. Compatible with Extreme 1G SFP and 10G SFP+ transceivers installed on XGM2 card. Supports L2 switching and basic Layer3 routing for campus and enterprise network.

Function

Summit X450a-24t is a 1U rack-mount enterprise gigabit switch for access or aggregation layer. It delivers 24 auto-negotiation gigabit copper ports for PC, server and wireless AP access. The rear expansion slot can add dual 10G SFP+ uplink ports to connect to core switches. It supports stacking, advanced QoS, VLAN segmentation and ACL security filtering, widely used in campus, office building and small data center networks.

Installation

Mount the switch into standard 19-inch equipment rack. Connect AC power cable. Use console cable for initial configuration. Plug RJ45 network cables into front copper ports. Install XGM2 uplink card on rear slot after power-off if 10G uplink is needed. Configure stacking parameters via ExtremeXOS CLI when multiple switches are stacked.
