X670V-48T belongs to Extreme Summit X670V data center switch family. 10GBASE-T copper ports use Cat6a cable for full 100m 10G reach; Cat6 limited to 55m. Optional rear VIM4-40G4X QSFP+ module supports 40G transceivers. Managed via CLI, SSH, SNMP, HTTPS. Designed for server room top-of-rack deployment, virtualization and cloud data center. Stackable within X670V series.

Function

X670V-48T is high-density 10G copper ToR switch for data center. 48 10GBASE-T RJ45 ports connect 10G servers. Optional VIM module provides 40G high-speed uplink to aggregation/core layer. Supports static & dynamic routing, M-LAG, EAPS ring protection, DCB for storage traffic, VLAN, QoS, port security and network virtualization. Redundant power and fans ensure high availability for critical data center environment.

Installation

Mount the switch to standard 19-inch 1RU rack. Connect protective earthing. Install dual redundant power supplies and hot-swap fan trays. Connect Cat6a copper cables to servers. Install optional VIM4-40G4X module and 40G optical transceivers for uplink. Configure via serial console or remote management. Verify port negotiation, stacking and M-LAG status after commissioning.

Stacking failure: Check SummitStack-V configuration, stacking port assignment and cable quality. Over-temperature alarm: Inspect fan tray status, airflow direction and rack cold/hot aisle layout.
