System compatibility

UV7R4 belongs to Fireye UV7 series flame scanner family. Compatible with Fireye MB series, SB series burner controls and MBPF flame amplifier modules. Matches sight tubes and mounting adapters for boilers, furnaces and kilns. Widely used for industrial combustion safety monitoring and spare replacement.

Function

UV7R4 is 90-degree right-angle ultraviolet flame scanner manufactured by Fireye. It captures ultraviolet radiation generated by combustion flame. The right-angle optical path solves installation limitation in narrow burner space. This is non-self-check model, the burner safeguard system automatically checks scanner short circuit and runaway fault at the start and end of each combustion cycle. It transmits flame present or flame loss signal to burner control unit. When flame failure occurs, the control system triggers safety shutdown to prevent accumulation of unburned fuel and explosion risk. Widely deployed for gas and oil boiler burner combustion safety monitoring and spare replacement.

Installation

Follow site lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Mount UV7R4 to burner sight port via 1/2" NPT thread. Align the optical window toward flame zone. Complete wiring strictly following Fireye official wiring diagram, confirm polarity. Power on and perform burner ignition commissioning, verify flame signal stability during normal burning.

InterfaceQuartz optical lens,90° angle body,1/2"NPT mounting thread,1830mm unshielded lead wires for Fireye UV7R4.

FeatureOriginal Fireye UV7R4 non self-check UV flame scanner,90° right angle design, high sensitivity for cycling gas/oil flame, reverse polarity protection,UL and FM approved. This spare unit is used for industrial boiler and furnace burner flame safety monitoring maintenance and hardware replacement.

DiagnosticNo flame signal: Inspect sight window dirt, lens contamination, optical alignment, wiring continuity. False flame alarm: Check interference from arc light or sunlight, verify scanner wiring. Intermittent flame signal: Check loose wiring, vibration at mounting point, lens condensation. Cycle fault alarm: Verify supply DC voltage, inspect cable insulation damage.
