Function

UV90L-1 is ultraviolet flame detector manufactured by Fireye. It captures ultraviolet radiation generated by combustion flame. The built-in self-check circuit continuously validates sensor function to prevent false flame indication caused by sensor failure. It sends flame present / flame loss signal to burner controller. When flame out occurs, the system triggers safety shutdown to avoid unburned fuel accumulation and explosion risk. Widely deployed for gas and oil boiler burner combustion safety monitoring and spare replacement.

Installation

Follow site safety lockout/tagout procedure before installation. Mount UV90L-1 on burner sight port with matching sight tube. Align sensor viewing window towards flame area. Complete wiring according to Fireye wiring diagram. Confirm wiring polarity. Power on and perform flame simulation test and burner ignition test. Verify flame signal strength during commissioning.
