Products Description

GE 12ICR54A2A Phase Sequence Undervoltage Relay Unit

Module Feature

12ICR54A2A belongs to GE classic ICR protective relay series. It is an electromechanical style three-phase monitoring relay, integrating phase sequence check and undervoltage detection functions. It continuously monitors three-phase AC supply condition. It will trigger output when phase rotation is reversed or system voltage drops below preset threshold, blocking motor start-up or tripping the load to prevent equipment damage. Adjustable setting range for undervoltage pickup, robust electromechanical contact structure, strong anti-interference performance, widely used for large motors, compressors and pump units in power plant, petrochemical and industrial switchgear cabinets.

Working principle

GE 12ICR54A2A samples three-phase voltage signals. Internal phase sequence circuit judges the rotation order of three phases; undervoltage circuit compares measured voltage against setting value. If phase sequence error or undervoltage fault occurs, the relay operates and changes dry contact state to send trip or interlock signal. When three-phase supply recovers to normal condition, relay resets automatically.

Onboard components

Voltage sensing transformer, phase sequence detection circuit, comparison adjustment potentiometer, electromagnetic relay coil, silver alloy contact set, mechanical reset assembly, metal housing, screw terminal block.

LED indicators

No onboard LED indicators.

Hardware self-diagnosis

Visual inspection of contact burning, coil insulation aging, mechanical sticking; continuity test of contact circuit, insulation resistance and operating point calibration test.

Programming software

No configuration software required; undervoltage threshold adjusted by onboard potentiometer.
