Products Description
GE AB49 Auxiliary Contact Block Unit

Module Feature
AB49 is a GE auxiliary contact block. It is a matching accessory for GE contactors and motor starters, used to provide auxiliary dry contact signals for status feedback, interlock and alarm circuits. It adopts mechanical linkage structure linked with contactor main moving contact. When contactor pulls in or drops out, the auxiliary contact synchronously switches. The contact material is silver alloy, with anti-arc performance and long mechanical life. Compact snap-on installation structure, easy to assemble on the side of GE contactor. Widely applied in motor control cabinet, power distribution control circuit and industrial motor starter system.
Working principle
When the GE contactor coil is energized and pulls in, the mechanical linkage drives AB49 auxiliary contact to act synchronously, normally open contact closes and normally closed contact opens. When coil power cuts off, contactor releases, spring resets auxiliary contact to original state. The auxiliary contact transmits contactor working status signal to PLC, indicator light or interlock protection circuit.
Onboard components
Silver alloy contact group, mechanical linkage lever, reset spring, flame retardant plastic housing, fixed mounting clip, terminal screw lugs.
LED indicators
No LED indicators.
Hardware self-diagnosis
Contact burnout, contact poor conduction, mechanical jamming, open circuit inspection, resistance measurement of contact terminals.
Programming software
No configuration software required.
