Products Description

GE DS200TCEAG1B TCEA Overspeed Trip Exciter Board Unit

Module Feature

DS200TCEAG1B is the TCEA (Turbine Control Exciter Assembly) safety board for GE Mark V Speedtronic turbine control system.

It works independently of main control CPU for turbine overspeed protection, receiving pulse signals from magnetic speed pickups. It implements hardware overspeed trip judgement, exciter feedback signal conditioning and hard trip relay output. Supports TMR redundant configuration to improve safety reliability. Conformal coating protects circuit against moisture, dust and corrosive gas. Widely stocked as MRO spare for power plant gas turbine and steam turbine safety control cabinet.

Working principle

Speed pulse signal from shaft pickup is sent to this board.

Onboard circuit calculates rotating speed in hardware logic. Once speed exceeds overspeed setpoint, the board triggers hardwired trip relay to cut fuel and activate turbine shutdown. It also collects exciter voltage feedback signal for excitation regulation loop. Trip action is hardware-based, not relying on software scan, which serves as the final safety barrier of turbine.

Onboard components

High-speed pulse acquisition circuit, comparator logic chip, trip relay driver, exciter signal conditioning circuit, status LED bank, backplane gold finger connector, conformal coated PCB, filter capacitor and protection diode.

LED indicators

Front board LEDs indicate power, fault, overspeed alarm and trip status.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Built-in circuit monitors speed pickup continuity, board power supply and internal circuit health. Configuration and fault diagnosis are completed by GE Toolbox / Mark V configuration software.

Programming softwareGE Mark V Toolbox, used for overspeed threshold setting, trip test and fault log review.
