GE IS220PDOAH1BC Discrete Output I/O Pack Unit

Module Feature

IS220PDOAH1BC is GE Speedtronic Mark VIe series intelligent discrete output I/O pack.

It works together with matching terminal base IS230SNRLH2A and relay board IS200SRLYH2A, provides 12 relay-type discrete outputs. It adopts dual redundant IONet Ethernet communication to exchange control commands with the system controller. Supports hot-swap replacement without rack shutdown. Each output channel drives field solenoid valves, contactor coils, trip relays and status indicators. It is widely used as maintenance spare for power plant gas turbine, steam turbine and generator control cabinet.

Working principle

The module receives control command from Mark VIe controller over IONet network.

Onboard processor decodes the command and drives corresponding relay channels to switch field power circuits. It collects relay feedback status and channel diagnostic information, then uploads back to the controller continuously. Built-in channel isolation protects internal circuit from field surge and back EMF interference.

Onboard components

Onboard processing CPU, dual IONet Ethernet transceiver, relay drive circuit, channel status monitoring circuit, optical isolation components, status LED array, rear edge connector and metal shielding housing.

LED indicators

Front LEDs indicate module power, RUN status, network link, channel active and channel fault alarm.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Built-in supervision detects network timeout, channel open/short, relay feedback mismatch, power supply abnormality and internal hardware fault. Fault information can be checked via ToolboxST software.

Programming software

ToolboxST, used for I/O point configuration, network mapping, logic download and module diagnosis.

Installation

Follow hot-swap operating procedure before replacement.

Lock pack firmly onto the terminal base, verify IONet communication, test each output channel and feedback signal before commissioning.

Interface

Dual IONet Ethernet port, backplane signal connector, relay channel matching terminal base interface.

Diagnostic

Module offline: IONet network cable fault, IP configuration mismatch or hardware damage. Channel no action: Drive circuit failure, relay burnout or field coil open. Feedback mismatch: Relay contact wear, wiring open or terminal loose.
